Heather Wisely

Pen Name: Heather E. Robyn

Heather grew up under the sunny skies of Southern California, where her love of learning was just as bright. That love eventually led her to earn a Doctorate in Education with a focus on Teaching and Learning because when you’re curious, you might as well go all in, right?

Before becoming a children’s book author, Heather spent several years in Social Work supporting foster youth and homeless veterans. Those experiences sparked her mission to write heart‑hugging stories that help kids and families tackle life’s tricky moments with courage, humor, and lots of hope.

When she’s not dreaming up new adventures for young readers, you can usually find Heather cheering loudly at baseball games and rugby matches, getting blissfully lost in all things Tim Burton, or scouting for classic VW Beetles at car shows (especially the ones that look like her beloved ’69 Bug).

These days, Heather lives in the Bay Area with her family and her furry sidekicks, Echo and Clarice. Through every book she writes, she hopes to sprinkle resilience, creativity, and a whole lot of imagination into the lives of young readers—because she believes every child has a brilliant, brave story waiting to shine.

Explore Heather’s books, classroom resources, and family‑friendly guides—and discover stories that speak to real life with warmth, humor, and practical tools.
