As my daughter is getting set to wrap up not only her senior, but her tenure as a student, I’m only of many many parents across the country that are in replay mode. Like a slide deck full of memories, we replay everything from their first day of kinder, to their last day of middle school, and try to grasp as much as we can from the past 13 years of their lives. Memories will shoot like lightning through our brains at random moments as we look back and hope we gave them the best experiences for a fulfilling school life.

With happiness, comes the questions. Did I push hard enough? Not push hard enough? Did I prepare her enough to go out into the big big world or will be be crushed the second she steps into it?

I suppose there’s only one way to find out. Let her fly, and do my best to be there to help her up and cheer her on if she falls.

To all the parents out there viewing the slideshow of your seniors school years, know that you’re not alone. I see you.

Congratulations Maddy! We are all so proud of you!
