To celebrate the one year release anniversary of my Children’s book, Dino Deegan and the Unpleasant Class, I will have the Kindle version available for FREE today through Thursday (9/30/21) if you’re interested in downloading a copy.
This book is about a juvenile Dromaeosaurus who struggles making friends because he is different than the other kids and dinosaurs. A new kid arrives, Cass, and the two become good friends until the other kids try to deter the friendship. This book is about taking down bullying one act of kindness at a time.
I based this story on my son’s experiences with bullying as a result of his high intellect about dinosaurs. Kids saw him as a nerd and called him a freak because he knew so much about Paleontology. It was quite sad but eventually he met his friend Genevive (represented by Cass in the book) who was just as obsessed as him, and they’ve been best friends since!
Although Dino Deegan is green, we used color progression in this story to represent acts of kindness spreading from one character to another which is why he has other color splotches on him on the cover and by the end of the book. It’s something we received a ton of positive feedback from kids about too!
So, if you have a young dino lover in your home that may be interested in having a FREE Kindle copy of this book, please feel free to access your copy through the link Here.
